St Joseph's not only achieved fifteen ‘Excellent’ gradings out of fifteen in the Estyn report, but also the following gradings in its Section 50 inspection:
|How effective is the school in providing Catholic education?||Excellent|
|What are the school's prospects for improvement?||Excellent|
The Section 50 inspection looked at the Catholic life of the school and described the:
“Vibrant Catholic ethos [which] permeates every area of school life.” The report also states that pupils “can communicate their understanding of [the school’s] mission and ... translate that into their daily lives ... through their respect and care for one another as well as their outreach to others beyond the school.” Both Inspection reports highlighted that pupils are "very proud" of being a part of St Joseph’s RC High School.
