Governors

St Joseph's RC High School is a voluntary-aided school. This means that while it is a state funded maintained school within the local authority of Newport, the Archdiocese of Cardiff is the trustee who owns the buildings. As a result, the governing body of St. Joseph's, acting on behalf of the trustees, are the employing authroity of the school, not the local authority.

The role of the governing body at St Jospeh's is to support and challenge the school to ensure that it delivers an outstanding education.
